We are Lalou Labradoodle breeders located in the Sierra Foothills between Lake Tahoe and Sacramento in the small town of Georgetown.
Lalou Labradoodles' mission is to provide the perfect family pet by breeding loving, healthy, intelligent, and beautiful Labradoodles. We do this by hand raising each puppy for the first eight weeks of their life. We start ENS (early neurological stimulation) training at birth and follow Puppy Culture protocols starting at 3 days of life. We introduce our puppies to our adult Labradoodles by seven weeks of age to interact as a pack. All our puppies are raised naturally with our other well balanced dogs and with constant human interaction and handling.

Labradoodles were originally developed in Australia to serve a very important need; service dogs for those with allergies. The Australian Labradoodle was a mix of the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle and often mixed with some Spaniel for a little smaller size.
In America, the Labradoodle is a mix of just 2 breeds; Labrador Retriever and Poodle. The first pairing is considered the first generation (F1) and oftentimes has a hair coat that is more straight and sometimes slightly wavy and tends to shed very slightly. The next generation is often a first generation bred back to a Poodle to achieve the beautiful fleece coat that is the most desirable and does not shed and is the most allergy friendly. This generation is called an F1b. Lalou Labradoodles specializes in F1b and multi generation Labradoodles.
Lalou Labradoodles has many F1b Labradoodle puppies and Multi-generational Labradoodle puppies for sale here in California, available in a range of colors, and all have great loving temperaments.
Labradoodles are considered to be allergy friendly NOT hypoallergenic. No dog is truly hypoallergenic, that is a misnomer. Labradoodles typically do not shed and do not have dander, (the 2 most common allergies). So, people who are allergic to dogs find that they do not react with allergy symptoms to a Labradoodle. Labradoodles have the friendliness of a Lab and are low to non-shedding, allergy friendly and have the intelligence of a Poodle, regarded as one of the most intelligent dog breeds.
The Labradoodle is a very active and social dog, ideal for an active family with older children. Labradoodles are great with kids, but they are very active and could accidentally knock over a small toddler, although they instinctively seem to know they need to be more gentle around a toddler. Labradoodles need a lot of exercise and thrive off of walks, jogs, playing ball, hiking, swimming, and other active hobbies. If you are the kind of person that likes to be at home a lot, reading or watching TV, then this dog may not be for you. Although, it has been my experience with my Labradoodles that, as long as my Labradoodle is with me, they are perfectly fine with being couch potatoes. Labradoodles make amazing family pets, their love of people and non-shedding coats are perfect for all. If given the right amount of exercise and care, the Labradoodle is just about the perfect family pet. My personal opinion is that they ARE the perfect family pet!
